AVP, Emerging Technology Lead at Capital Group Companies
• Ninou is responsible for leading and managing portfolio of initiatives at Capital Group to research, connect and capitalize on high impact emerging technologies and business opportunities including Fintech, blockchain, digitization and automation, and applied artificial intelligence.
• Prior to focusing on emerging technology, Ninou was the Lead Solution Architect for large and complex transformational initiatives at Capital Group including asset management back-office and front-office transformations, investment data and analytics delivery, next generation multi-channel content management system, mobile enablement, and re-architecture and modernization of custom technology solutions supporting Capital’s unique multiple portfolio managers approach. Ninou was a recipient of the inaugural Capital Group Information Technology Group leadership award in 2014.
• Prior to joining Capital Group in 2008, Ninou held various hands-on technology leadership roles where he helped form and mentor global software engineering teams across two continents and spearheaded the design and development of the flagship web services platform for First American, led the development of fixed income trading platform and merger of portfolio accounting systems for Western Asset Management, and led the development of first ecommerce and information portal at Data Transmission Network. Ninou also held other technology advisory and leadership roles for First Advantage, Symantec and several startup companies.
• Ninou holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MBA from the University of Southern California (Member of Beta Gamma Sigma)
