• Kevin Zhang is a Partner at Upfront Ventures, where he invests in emerging technologies across healthcare (software and IoT), frontier sciences (food/agtech, material science, robotics, AI, etc.) and interactive media (gaming, VR/AR, livestreaming, etc.)
• Upfront Ventures is the largest and longest-serving venture capital fund in Los Angeles having invested more than $1 billion since 1996 in technology companies such as Maker Studios, TrueCar and Overture. While Upfront is national, the team invests about 50% of capital in Southern California-based technology companies from San Diego to Santa Barbara.
• Kevin's portfolio companies and board positions include Grove Labs, Seriously, VREAL, etc.
• Prior to Upfront, Kevin worked at The Boston Consulting Group, where he advised on strategy and operations for technology, healthcare, and industrial goods clients in the US and Asia, and Verscend Technologies, where he built data analytics products for healthcare payors and providers.
